Over the last several months we’ve been speaking at conferences and meetings, running webinars, and doing everything we can to educate grantmakers about the different data sharing tools that are part of the Simplify Initiative. We’ve spoken with grants managers, program staff, tech staff, and leadership, and we’ve learned a lot about the challenges grantmakers face in adopting these tools.
As as result of what we’ve learned, we’re taking a more hands-on approach to our work. We’re jumping in to get our hands dirty working with the tools, and we’re asking grantmakers to do the same. We’ll be doing a lot of one-on-one outreach to foundations, asking you to let us help you evaluate the individual tools, decide which ones can be of the most benefit to your organization, and put together a work plan to help you move forward with adoption. We’ll work together with you directly, and we’ll also put you in touch with the tool providers, the appropriate support resources at your GMS vendor, and consultants who can also help you with adoption and implementation.
